The Management Committee of COST Action MP0604 announces the second COST Training School on "Optical Micro-Manipulation by Nonlinear Nanophotonics". The training school is a joint effort between the MP0604 COST Action and the European Network of Excellence for Biophotonics, Photonics 4 Life. The event will be hosted at Hotel Silvanus, Visegrád, Hungary, from October 5 to 8, 2010.


The school is aimed at graduate and postdoctoral students. It will provide a comprehensive introduction to the latest achievements in optical micromanipulation, theory and applications. The School is based on tutorial lectures given by distinguished experts, representing the cutting edge of the field, both in technical development and interdisciplinary areas. The students will also have the possibility to introduce their own work.
